Primary Purpose:
Maintain school district grounds, athletic fields, landscaping, and outdoor facilities to provide a safe, clean, and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Major Responsibilities:

• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain grass, lawns, and athletic fields.
• Trim trees, shrubs, and landscaping as needed.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and care for grass, plants, trees, and flower beds.
• Remove weeds, leaves, trash, debris, and other materials from district grounds.
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, tractors, and other equipment.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
• Prepare and maintain athletic fields, including mowing, marking fields, and general field upkeep.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for school activities, athletic events, and special events as needed.
• Perform minor outdoor maintenance and repairs, including fences, gates, sidewalks, and other grounds-related items.
• Safely use and store tools, equipment, chemicals, fertilizers, and other materials.
• Report unsafe conditions, needed repairs, vandalism, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow district safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist maintenance and custodial staff with other duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
